Things from the weekend

This past weekend, we took Noah to see "Horton Hears a Who" at the 99 cent theatre. He did so well! He sat in his seat like a big boy, and watched the entire movie. At the end, when it was a happy ending he yelled "YES!" and sort of pumped his arm. Ah, he's getting to be such a big boy. During the movie, I shed all of my weird phobias and let him eat popcorn and share a pop with me. He thought that was awesome, and we quickly downed a Diet Coke. He went to take another drink, and when he discovered it was empty, he took it out of the holder, handed it to Walt and said "We need more pop!!!"

We also watched Shrek the Third on TV. Which prompted him to pretend to be "Cat in Boots" all weekend. He would wrap his favorite blankey around himself, a la a swashbuckler and declare himself "Cat in Boots". Who is this cat in boots, you may ask? Why, none other than "Puss in Boots". He kept asking me during the movie what they called him, when they'd refer to him as "puss". He'd say "What did they call him? He's CAT...in Boots!"
